Empire Waist Dress
Empire waist falls one to three inches above the natural waistline just below the bust.It also gives an illusion of height, thus also looks great on short figures. On the other hand women having big bust avoid this waistline as it draw attention upwards and appears you larger than you are.
Natural Waistline Dress
Narrow waistline dress has waist between the ribs and the hips. In this place the natural waist hits. It is ideal amongst all waistlines as it creates balance and keeps body in proportion. Hourglass figure women look awesome in it.
Basque Waistline Dress
Basque waistline starts at the natural waistline but drops down in a "V" shape in the front about two to three inches below the natural waistline.It gives an appearance of tallness and slimness by reducing the width of the waist and hips and elongates the torso. Square figures should avoid this waistline.
Dropped Waistline Dress
Dropped waistline dress falls on the hips and is three to five inches below the natural waistline. This waistline perfect suits curvy figures, short waist figures and wide hipped figures as it gives an illusion of length to them by elongating waist.
Asymmetrical Waistline Dress
Asymmetrical waistline is quite confusing in silhouette. It either starts on one side at an empire waistline and falls to a natural waistline on the other side, or starts on one side at a natural waistline and falls to the other side down to a dropped waistline.
