Okay to own your own website means you get to do whatever you want right? so with that said i've decided to slowly add some interesting links for my customers to browse through. it's only going to be a few and mostly links to sites that are not doing the same type of things as me--that was my issue with my last set of links--too many!! It will be a list of folks i admire, maybe some resourses and of course links to my blog (yes i'm attempting that again!) and also my Esty shop

Here at Funky Frocks Designs my mission is to produce excellent quality one-of-a kind hand-crafted items such as clothing, jewelry, handbags & sometimes the odd handmade doll or original painting! i put a lot of thought and time into each creation and my hope is that when you own a piece of my work you will be as proud to own it as I am to make it. I am not a factory and i do have a strict "Family First" philosophy so my posting schedule is not always consistent to say the least hehe!! Many warm thanks to all of you that have continued to support me through the crazy times!!

here's a little bit about the quality of my work and the quality of the fabrics i choose to work with.

The past few years i have been blessed enough to incorporate my love of the environment into the fabric i choose to work with. i have also been fortunate enough to have a few great online pals that have helped me not only use earth friendly hemp but have created some AmaZing dyes to enhance the beauty of my clothing as well as mUcH help in improving my own dye techniques with hemp and organic fabrics as well. Another way i like to help out our mother earth is to recycle vintage India skirts and incorporate them with hemp and organic cottons to spin them into a modern take on the old hippie skirts we all have so ManY great memories of!!  I carefully inspect each piece of clothing and stand behind my abilities to create a top quality garment that will last and last!

a note on the hand dyed fabrics!! some are from the amazing Jess over at Ecounique and some are by me! My own personal technique is a two day process that i love doing and turns out the best for the kind of clothing i adore!

I sew all my threads on my Huskylock 936 and my Bernina Arista 185. All exposed seams are serged meaning no fraying edges and  everything is topstitched where needed.I do not accept any custom orders. I find that by creating pre~made items you know exactly what you are getting and I can be as creative and free as possible! I never know what will be the end result of my creative flow once I start a design :o) It usually ends up with *many* more details than originally planned~~which I think adds to the originality and uniqueness of each piece!!~*~As my personal tastes and experiences change and expand I hope to incorporate that into my clothing, bags and other forms of my artistic energy!~*~
